Repeating of rows question
Every chevron pattern I have found says to "repeat row 2". Does that mean repeat row 2 until I reached the desired length or does it mean to do row 1, row 2, row 2, then back to row 1,row 2, row 2....on and on and on.

At least in knitting they say repeat row 1-2 for pattern. That's why i'm asking because it's worded completely different.

Thanks!!

Yes, it means repeat row 2 until your piece is as big as you want it. The only difference between row 1 and row 2 should be that you are crocheting into chain stitches for row 1 and for row 2 your are crocheting into single crochets.

But yes, to answer your question, when a pattern says to repeat row 2 and then doesn't say anything else after that, it means until you are finished.

Can't wait to see your project in progress!

I can't improve on MGM answers.

The thing I have to add is that there will be other annoying differences in pattern language or rather the phrasing of patterns.

For two weaving arts that look so much alike, knitting and crochet have many subtle differences that become visible as you learn them.

The Old Man inside wonders why some think them so alike. Of course he also answers, "they haven't compared them by doing them, have they?"

Ignore that old man, and have fun.

You're very welcome! I'm glad that helped you.

I love the "Thanks" button on this forum, but wouldn't it be nice to have a "You're welcome" button too? Just an odd thought that popped into my head just now!

Now back to my Elongated Knit Stitch project that I am almost finished with...maybe tonight will be the night. I showed a picture of it on my website a few days ago if you would like to see what it looks like.
