Socks

I want to try socks but I knit on flats when ever I can and really do not want to have to buy knitting needles no thicker than toothpicks. Is there and hope of a pattern I can do?

There are a few patterns for seamed socks knit on 2 regular needles. Here's some:

and I know there's one in Socks Two on the Go by Vogue Knitting. You might try your library.

I'm not sure what needle size these call for, but they might be easily converted to bulkier yarn/larger needle size. The one in the book would be easy to adjust.

Thank you.... My locle library is very small. they have a grand totle of 10 knitting books and at lest two of those do not have patterns one is a fiction book Named Knit Two Together and the other is about the histery of knitting.
