i am doing an afghan pattern
its is 93 stitches,
row1-6 is all knit
row7- kt 6 pl 3 and kt 3 to the last 6 st. kt last 6
row8 k3 pl3 till last 3 and kt 3
the patern continues and rows 11 and 12 you knit.
i am trying to figure out if i want to make this bigger how many stitches more i could add and also if it would be an odd or even number HELP PLEASE
Something doesn't add up; the stitch multiple is 6 the way you've written it and that doesn't go into 93. It could be you do row 7 like this - k6, p3 *k 3, p3* repeating between the *s and end with knit 6. That would work.
So your stitch repeat is 6, and you would add sts in multiples of 6 to make it wider - 6, 12, 18, etc.
Yes. The reason you add in multiples of 6, but the CO number would be an odd one is that you have 6 sts on each edge for a border, but in between you do p3, then the repeating stitches are k3, p3. It's the number of repeating sts you want to stick with.
