Confused - need pattern help please
Hello :-)

I found this site some time ago and just love it - I am new to the forum though

I am knitting a lace stole and have trouble understanding the following:

k1, p1, k1 in the 3 stitches at the same time K3tog ...

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Can you give a little more information? Maybe the row before and after. Or, if it's a free pattern, a link?

At the same time? Are you sure the k3tog is for the same group of stitches? Usually you would kpk in one stitch, then turn and knit the same 3 tog, or slip them back on the left needle to knit them again. How does that row read?

Sorry, never thought about posting more -

k1, p1, k1 in the 3 stitches at the same time K3tog, without removing stitch k1, p1, k1 in same stitch - 3 stitches move to right needle.

I am not sure if I can post the entire pattern, because I bought it of Etsy and it is copyrighted.

And yes, this is the first row - the pattern basically consists of the above part and cables.

Thank you so much!

PS: the following row is purl only

It's okay to post a row or two, just not the whole pattern. Did you get all the commas in the right places, it makes a difference?

But I'm still not sure how you'd do it. Is there a link to a picture? Or you can email the person you bought it from and ask what the heck they mean....

I'm sorry, even with the chart and key, I don't understand it either. Maybe someone else who's better at chart reading can figure it out, or you'll have to wait until the seller contacts you.

All I can think if is that you k,p,k in the one stitch, slip those back to the left tip and knit the 3 back down into one. Then slip that one back to the left tip and work k,p,k in it again.

Can you link to a pic of what the item looks like? That might help...

Yeah, that's the only way I can interpret it too; a picture would help see what the result should be.
