V neck1 (rem stitches on spare needle?

okay so this is only my second project, but it said it was EASY, lol!!


so i have knit up to the armholes (making a vest for my daughter)

i have 41 stitches left
my instructions were to knit 18 then k2tog then TURN leave remaining stitches on a spare needle...row 2 p2tog....etc..

I dont get though what 'spare' stitches are?? im thinking they are the 'rest' of the stitches that i have yet to knit?? then I turn..finish up on 'that' side?? then do the other side of the v neck??

i may be way off but i would loove some advice haha

Right, those are the sts for the other shoulder. You finish up the first stitches, then you'll go back to the remaining stitches to work on the second shoulder.
