k1p1 decrease in a beanie... please help i'm so lost!

Okay, there are probably a million other beginners that have asked this question, but i am trying to decrease on a beanie. I casted on 80 stitches, k1 p1 all the way up and now I am at the point where I need to start decreasing. I am very curious on what my options are. I want to keep a ribbing pattern all the way up. This is only the 2nd beanie I've ever knitted, so I'm definitely a beginner.

If anybody could help, I'd appreciate it so much. I've tried to use google to find the answer but I am so confused with all the other stuff that is out there. If someone could me me out with a bare bones pattern or decrease strategy for 80 stitches, I would be extremely appreciative. Thank you for your time!

I am a beginner also and have never knitted a beanie so please take whatever I say with a grain of salt...

For decreasing I usually knit 2 together:

Though it might be tough if you want to keep a ribbing pattern.

I didn't watch the video, so this may be redundant, but to decrease in k1p1 ribbing you should k3 together for the decreases, evenly spaced. This way you decrease a kpk down to a k. Work another 2 rounds and then do it again. So you could k7, k3tog all the way around for the first round, then k5, k3tog; k3, k3tog etc.

By doing a double dec (k3 tog over a k, a p and a k) that keeps the ribbing pattern intact.
