Looking for a coaster pattern
Would anyone have a pattern for a swirl round knitted coaster. I had one but it has evaporated into thin air somehow lol.
Thanks for any who reply.

Don't know what they look like, but these are done with short rows:

I don't know if http://www.groupepp.com/dishbout/kpatterns/petal.html is the sort of thing you're looking for or not...?

Current projects: a hat, one pair of socks, a pair of fingerless gloves, and zero sanity. Future projects: more socks, more gloves (some with fingers, even!), a tea cozy, a penguin scarf, and even less sanity.

What do you mean 'swirl around'? Here's one that might be what you're looking for.

makes me think of these placemats from the book "Felt It." You could make them smaller and call them coasters.

HERE is a pattern that might work if you want to learn Tunisian Crochet. Just make the starting chain maybe 6 or 7 and see how the size works out.
