Try looking up any tutorial or pattern for a top down hat. It's the same principle. You just stop increasing when the "coaster" looks big enough. I'd suggest pulling the tail after the first round or two to close up the hole.

There are a bunch on Knitting Pattern Central. And there are several pages in all shapes and sizes on Ravelry.
