Pattern help please
I have attempted to make this pattern 3 times now and it dosn't come out anything like its supposed to. The numbers do not add up correctly and it doesn't re arrange like it should.

Would someone please check it and tell me if its me or the pattern. I have been knitting since November and have done several pair of socks but I can not figure this one out.

Your question is a little vague.... Where are you in the pattern, what size are you doing, and what numbers are not coming out right. And it should be garter st, not 'garther' st....

The count doesn't add up correctly when you re arrange. When re aranging its wonky. The sides of the heel are not on the sides but rather sorta twisted.

For the middle size you cast on 52 stitches, then divide to 18, 20, 18, this is 56 not 52. If I subtract the 4 stitches it doesn't come out right.

I tried clicking on other parts of this person's website and it all comes up dead. Who knows why. . . but if you've done other patterns and like them, I would just cast on and then do a half-inch to an inch of garter st, and then do the heel flap on down and the rest of the sock according to those instructions (the ones you've already tried and been successful with).

Cast on 44 (48, 52, 56) sts loosely. Place a marker between the 1st and 2nd sts on the 1st needle to indicate the beginning of the round.
Divide the sts to have 14 (16, 18, 20 sts on 1st needle, 16 (18, 20, 22) sts on 2nd needle and 14 (16, 18, 20) sts on 3rd needle.
There is obviously a mistake in the pattern. The only size that adds up correctly is the smallest. The cast ons are 4 stitches apart, but the dividing stitches are 6 stitches apart. So rather than trying to divide the 52 that's stated in the pattern, either cast on 56 and divide 18, 20, 18; or cast on 52 and divide the stitches 16, 20, 16.

The stitch number for the larger size don't come out right either. I would just arrange the 52 sts as evenly as possible. That seems to be the correct number, it's just their division is off. You're just going to be doing garter and stockinette stitch for a few rounds, and then you rearrange again for the heel flap. That seems to have the right number of stitches on each needle and is the more critical number.

when I tried to re arrange for the heel it was OK. Then when you get to the next rearrangement the sides of the heel where the decreases are are not in the correct place unless you move the working yarn further up the needle. Then it throws EVERYTHING off.

Does anyone have a pattern for ankle socks that IS correct?

This is what I was trying to suggest in my previous post, but not doing a very good job of it

Since you've already made socks from other patterns which have worked, what I was trying to say was to take one of those patterns. Cast on however many sts they tell you. But instead of working the cuff and leg, just do a few rows in garter stitch, and then proceed with the heelflap, gusset, and rest of the sock instructions, and voila, you'll have ankle socks.
