baby booty patterns?
I'm going through a phase of having a lot of pregnant girlfriends. So, I'm looking for fast, simple patterns that I can't mess up while I'm knitting. Does anyone have patterns for baby booties, baby blankets, baby anything that I can make really quickly? Oh, did I mention simple?

Saartje's Booties are really popular and Fleegle made a circular version out of the pattern...

I love Saartjes booties, but those kind don't stay on which drove me nuts with my own kids.

Can you knit in the round or do you want them knit flat and seamed?

These are knit flat -

I just saw these and they are adorable! They are made from garter stitch squares.

This is a really good website that I've used to knit my very first baby booties as a gift for a family friend's baby. The pattern is SUPER easy and really quck to do too, less than 1 hour if you're an advanced knitter.

Enjoy!

I second those from How Stuff Works. I just did those as my first knitting project and they were simple enough to figure out for me as a beginner.. If you have knitted before I know you can do them. Those baby UGGS are adorable!!!!! I have to do them.
