Baby Ballerina Sweater help
I am knitting a sweater for my cousin who is due in August. She is having a girl and I found the cutest little sweater pattern. I'm not new to knitting but this is my first sweater. I'm at a point in the pattern that I'm having a hard time understanding.

Here is what the pattern says:
Shape Neck
Next 2 rows K1, sl 1, yf, turn, sl 1, k1
Next 2 rows K1, sl 1, yf, turn, sl 1, k2
Next 2 rows K1, sl 1, yf, turn, sl 1, k3
Next 2 rows K1, sl 1, yf, turn, sl 1, k2
Next 2 rows K1, sl 1, yf, turn, sl 1, k1

I guess they are short rows but I'm not sure. The part that is confusing me is the yf, turn. Do I bring the yarn forward, turn my work over and continue or what? I'm so confused! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, bring the yarn towards you, turn as if you were at the end of a row, and slip the first stitch. These will be short rows and you're wrapping the yarn around a stitch by bringing it to the front and turning.

If the pattern is British, YF (yarn forward) means YO (yarn over).

Except she's doing short rows and it's basically a wrap and turn. Though there are YO short rows I don't think you're going to get a YO if you bring the yarn forward and then turn.
