fix a skipped stitch

I wrapped the yarn to knit but just moved it over,now on the next row I have a ladder. How do I fix this? And if I did the same with a purl,how do I fix it? Thanks!

Don't worry, dropped stitches are the most common mistake, and luckily one of the easiest to fix.

I don't have a stitch to insert needle into,the stitch is already on the needle.

When you get to it on the next row, just pull the loop on the needle through the stitch. It's easier if you turn it around to face you so you can see where it goes.
