I have found a pattern, now for some wool. It's a headband thing with a crocheted flower on the side.

Well, I've had several false starts on this KAL.

You know yarn that just doesn't want to be what you had in mind, no matter how many times you frog it and start over! I wanted to use some stash yarn, but finally gave up and went out this morning to buy some yarn.

Know to find another pattern for the new yarn!

I'm sure I needed an excuse to but more yarn! I actually live in a smallish rural community, so yarn is a bit hard to get. We have Walmart and a small LYS. I can't usually get yarn from there because I have a chronic case of being broke. Darn kids prefer to eat as to me getting yarn!

I did go there today though and got a fingering weight yarn. I'm going to try to do a lace headband. I've never knit lace before so wish me luck!!

You're describing ME! I do that all the time, but I really don't mind. It's fun trying different things with different yarns. Kinda like being a sculptor, waiting for the rock in front of you to tell you what it wants to be.

I started my double knit headband. It's not hard, but it's a lot of stitches!
