my first knitted project

I have finished my very first knitted project

It is no where near perfect. I think I did fine on the right bootie, but for some reason I had to start over six times on the left bootie. I just coudn't get it going or either I would get close to the end and mess up really badly. You can see a mistake I have pointed out in the picture. It is below the word mistake. I had the most trouble with my yarn splitting. I was using sport weight yarn and 3mm needles. Maybe I started with too small a yarn and needles for a beginner? Anyway, I am so excited that they even look like booties. I just wanted to share.

I think you did a great job! My first knitted project was a scarf; you're much more brave.

Great job for a first project. They look really good. You don't want to see my first knitting project. I am told it was supposed to be a scarf but it looks like a floor mop rag to me!!! Way to go!
