Aran Baby Blanket
This is the Aran Blanket from Knit Baby Blankets. I made it for a friend who is having a little girl. It took me about two months, and I'm so glad I finished it because she's about ready to give birth any day.

The pattern called for worsted weight, but I used 2 strands of Bernat Softee Baby held together, and it's just the right weight. I just love this pattern, and will definitely use it again. It's fairly simple once you get everything laid out, and by the time I got about halfway through I had it memorized, which made the knitting even easier.

There are a couple of places where I turned the cables the wrong way and was too lazy to go back and fix them, but I just tell myself that makes it even more special.
