I made this little set for dh's cousin's new baby boy. I wanted it to fit him next winter, so used my 11-month old to fit.
This was my first time using Knit Picks yarn, swapped with another member here a little while ago. It's wool of the andes, Dune Twist colour. I really like it, very soft for 100% wool.
The hat pattern I made up of 1x1 ribbing & stocking stitch. Used the
Basic Knitted Hat Formula from Mielke's Fiber Arts with dimensions from
Bev's Country Cottage.
The scarf is the
Super-Fast, Ultra-Cozy scarf. CO 10 sts with size 8's, and added a keyhole at one end so it could fit snugly under a baby coat without too much bulk.
And the super cute, adorable, easy-peasy to make mitts are the Sucky Thumb mitts. They're a
free Ravelry Pattern. I love love love these. Corban didn't want to take them off. I'll be making him his own pair, even though it's spring. We'll have enough chilly weather yet to make them worth it, and I knit them up in just a couple of hours.
Thanks for looking!
