Yahoooooo!!!!
My LYS has been for sale for awhile and today, 6 weeks before the lease is up, it's been adopted! Wooo! Our Knit Night group was worrying and planning about where to knit in the event the sale didn't happen because we all wanted to stay together. Now it's taken care off!

They are going to move, but not too far and to that end all the yarn is 25% off! Oh boy... what to get, what to get..

Just wanted to share my good news!

Yay! It's so worrisome, watching all these small businesses go out of business...I'm glad to hear some good news!

I'm glad to hear your LYS will still be around. I have seen quite a few come and go in my area. One in the town where one of my DDs lives was closed before I even got to go once. :-(

The yarn sale sounds good too. Have fun.

Great news!!! One of ours was in that position and nobody bought it so it ended up closing. :( It was the best one in the area too. I got lots of great stuff at the closing sale too. But I'd rather have the store. In this case, the owner wanted to retire and spend more time traveling and with her grandchildren.

LYS
My LYS is up for sale. I hope that someone will buy it as the stores don't have as nice of a selection of yarn and our Thursday night group is well established and I would hate to look for a new one.

Jan, that sounds great! Luckily, the LYS near my work is expanding. They don't carry much nicer yarns, mostly local acrylics and acrylic blends, but sometimes i find nice stuff there!
