Oh wow, just got around to checking out this thread and I have to say, an afghan like this is now on my to-do list. Probably not the same pattern as shown, but maybe.
I'm a fan of ice blue and white as color choices, btw, for snowflake patterns, or else pine and white or pine and cream.

I knitted a babies hat from Cottage Industry, the pattern is sweetpea baby set, but I need to knit something called 'monk's cord' which attaches/sewn to the corners of the hat. My question is What is Monk's Cord/how is this knitted?

i'm knitting my first blanket. I'm doing it in pieces then crocheting them together. It's a simple k1,p1 pattern. Looking forward to hearing from anyone else who would like to join me for a knit a long!!!
