thank you so much for honoring me with such a celebratory response! I can't tell you how blessed I feel. And, how much I needed this. I've had a horrible couple of years recently. This is the first truly fantastic thing that has happened. It help me remember that God hadn't forgotten my name.

Thank you all, again.

Wow Moni - that is just GREAT!! And the yarn is gorgeous!! You are going to have some fun

If you are going to be the demonstrator at the farmers markets, why don't you work on the garments for them while you are there - that way, they and the customers, can see how they come along each week! And you can do the project with your granddaughter when you need too

Hi Moni!

I really want to congratulate you on finding ladies that appreciate your knitting! It is a rare thing!

I posted a thread in General Knitting a minute ago, (BEEN THERE, DONE THAT??) which describes the how the conversation usually goes when people admire our knitting!

Not like your wonderful experience with the ladies you ran into!
They are a real treasure!

Congratulations again!!

I'm very glad you did. I was having the same thoughts. There is no way they could pay me enough to truly compensate me for my time!

Because I am at a point where I really need to "moonlight" in a way that doesn't hurt my primary business, I still want to do this!

My son came up with the best method of compensation. He said, "you buy the yarn with your 50% discount. Then you charge them the full price, and keep half for your time."
So, $150 sweater would be $75 for the yarn and $75 for me. Is $75 enough for an entire week's worth of work. Oh, absolutely NO WAY! But it's $75 more dollars than I had yesterday!

Until I can sell enough tea to make ends meet, I have to do something that doesn't interfere with that. I've got nothing but time, so this works for me.
