I'm very glad you did. I was having the same thoughts. There is no way they could pay me enough to truly compensate me for my time!
Because I am at a point where I really need to "moonlight" in a way that doesn't hurt my primary business, I still want to do this!
My son came up with the best method of compensation. He said, "you buy the yarn with your 50% discount. Then you charge them the full price, and keep half for your time."
So, $150 sweater would be $75 for the yarn and $75 for me. Is $75 enough for an entire week's worth of work. Oh, absolutely NO WAY!
But it's $75 more dollars than I had yesterday!
Until I can sell enough tea to make ends meet, I have to do something that doesn't interfere with that. I've got nothing but time, so this works for me.
