Knitting chart
Hi, I think this is a fairly simple question. I'm just beginning a pattern on a sweater and using the chart. The chart is an abbreviated one. It shows 5 stitches across. After the first two stitches the next two stitches are in brackets and says "2-st-rep". I am assuming that it means 2 stitch repeat. But, what do I do??? What does it mean to do??? Thanks, Linda

When you start the chart, you'll start at the right edge and work the first 2 stitches, then repeat the two that are in the repeat section. When you get to the end of the row, you'll finish with whatever is at the left side of the repeat.

If you're working back and forth, then you'll read the chart from left to right for the wrong side rows. If it's in the round, you'll always read from right to left.
