daughter's first felted bag
My daughter (age 11) knit and felted a bag, which we used for her Easter candy basket. We had to weave a ribbon through the top, because it was a bit too "open"...but I think that made it cuter. She used Lion Brand wool, and just knit round on a circular.

What a wonderful little treasure it is! You're right, the ribbon added more 'pursenality'!
