Wow. I logged in expecting the usual posts and found your blanket. I'm in awe. It's beyond amazing. You even did Mama knitting on your own. I'm glad this thread got bumped and I got to see your work of art. Such a lovely way to start my day.

I think it got bumped because of a spamish posting, but thanks for the kind words--nice way to start my day as well!

Ingrid, I missed this original post too. What a lovely blanket! It's so much fun looking at the knit versions of the drawings from those wonderful books. I read them to my children so many times that we could recite them. Beautiful work.

Whatever the reason it got bumped, I really am glad it happened. Even spam can serve a useful purpose on occasion.

Thanks, everyone. I always loved the Beatrix Potter books, too, so I was thrilled to find the book with the charts. I was happy to make it for Amy and Sheldon, too, since I knew it would be appreciated.

You made each child one or you made the one for them to share? It is very pretty and I'm sure it will be treasured for many years to come.

Actually Amy and Sheldon are the owners of this site. I made it for their daughter Erin.

I get it now. I haven't been on this site too much in the last few months and forgot that Amy & Sheldon are the ones that host the site. I was thinking in my mind how are three children going to share this blanket and just knew they would fight over it. Now I feel so dull.
