Identifying wrong and right side

I'm currently doing a ribbing pattern (knit every knit stitch, purl every purl stitch) and I read somewhere that ribbing patterns don't have a right or wrong side as they are reversible. Is this right? Also I'm not too sure what "return row" means?

Yes rib patterns eg, p2 k2 p2 k2 p2 look the same both sides. But patterns will still ask you to finish on the wrong side. You will know which is the wrong side because it will be the same as your 2nd row. For example if your 1st row is p2 k2 p2 k2 p2 then your 2nd row will be the opposite and finish with k2. So if a patterns say work 7cm finishing on the WS then you know to finish when it measures 7cm and you finish ith k2.
However I don't think it would make a huge difference if you could not identify the WS.
