So Sad...
Last night one of my cats died. I had her since she was born, she was one of the babies from my cat, Evil. Her name is Bat. I named her that when she was a tiny little thing because her face looked just like a bat's face...lol...I knew I was going to keep her shortly after she was born, she always cuddled up and fell asleep on my lap. She turned 9 last month.

I knew early yesterday she was dying, she could barely move and her eyes were all glazed over. I sat with her and pet her for a while then left her alone. She was curled up on a blanket in a box downstairs. later in the evening, she ended up curling up under the basement steps...I could barely reach her but I petted her some more and talked to her...I went to check on her again at about 10:00 last night and she was gone.

I held her and cried my eyes out. I wrapped her in a paper bag and buried her by candlelight in a nice little area on the side of my house and put flowers on top of the dirt.

I'm just so sad, she was such a sweet little cat.

RIP, Bat ~ April 2000 - May 2009

I'm so sorry, it's always hard because they are so precious and our pets become members of our families!

Oh that breaks my heart. I'm so sorry!

She was so young..way too young to die. I have a cat that's nearly 18 and I worry and watch her closely.

I've lost three pets over the last year and a half, so I totally empathize.
