Leftover yarn...

Hi, this is my first time posting here so i hope i have this in the right place. I have a lot of those leftover 1/2 balls of yarn floating around, none of them seem to go together and i need something to do with them. any ideas?

Maybe a multicolor scarf? Or a blanket?
Do you crochet? If so, granny squares maybe.

A stashghan (i.e. blanket made up of leftover yarn)!

A shaggy bag or a shaggy blanket. Cut yarn into shorter lengths and knot together securely, leaving long ends. Then knit, with all the ends on the right side. Works well with garter stitch and reverse stocking stitch. Bag could be lined.

I made one last night (I have quite a few skeins of Homespun) and it's adorable and will make great "just because" gifts. My grandnieces are going to love them!
