Leftover yarn...

You can have an ongoing afghan going.. something like a log cabin pattern or stripes. Eventually you'll have a whole blanket!

Note - if you do these and the yarns are different gauges it will affect the look which may or may not be a bad thing..depends on the look you're going for.

I once had a basket full of leftover yarns that didn't match. I crocheted a giant granny square. It was the most hideous thing you'd ever imagine. I didn't even have the same color on one round sometimes. My dad loved it. My mom told me he covered with it on the sofa every night. It was so mis-matched and ugly, it couldn't be displayed over the back of the sofa or anything, but it did serve the purpose, and it used up all of that yarn too! Have fun!
