VERY nice! I often think simple is best.....in alot of ways! This pattern would make a great "man" scarf too.....I'm thinkin in a nice heather gray.....

Anothe "Ripples in the Sand" Scarf
Oh, I remember a scarf pattern by that name but cannot be sure if it was knit or crochet. Where do I look in my bookmarks? Stash binder? Oh, no matter. I like your pattern too.

Although, growing up in the snow belt of northwestern Pennsylvania does bring to mind several winters where I wanted a bulky weight scarf wide enough to wrap my head and then some!

Your "Ripples in the Sand" scarf if a wonderful pattern and you did a great job. It looks wonderful and warm.

--Jack

P.S. My mistake, the scarf pattern I found long ago is called "Shifting Sands."

No problem! That's why I posted my pattern. It is simple and easy, and I think it would be a great cabled scarf to take the 'cable plunge'!

Just be sure to keep track of the row repeats or you WILL overshoot the Row 8 cable! I must've had to frog back 6 times! Even WITH row repeat markers! OY!
