Blooming Cotton Scarf-Knitting Daily
Good morning all. I'm wondering if anyone had made this scarf. http://www.knittingdaily.com/blogs/p...ton-scarf.aspx

It's a beautiful scarf and the pattern is easy. I'm just not used to a pattern where you carry the yarn as much. So far the most stitches I have to carry a yarn is 6, but it's repeated over and over so the back of the scarf has all the loops when it is not stretched out.

Also, in the picture, the edge looks straight, but it is turning out more scalloped on the edge due to repeated slip stitches. Does it block to straight edges?

I've only done about 12 rows. The rows are the length of the scarf - 400 stitches - and take quite a while to do. I can envision it being a project I work on a little at a time.

I guess what I'm hoping for is that someone has made it and can convince me that it is worth the effort and that it will turn out.

Because of the constant color change, I'm cutting the yarn rather than having so many balls attached at one time, so I'd rather decide now if I'm going to frog it so I don't end up with a lot of short lengths of yarn.

Can anyone help?

Well, thank you everyone who looked at this post. I appreciate all the help this community provides. I have set aside the scarf for the moment...I'm just not enjoying knitting on it. Maybe I'll pick it up after the next project...who knows. Life is too short (and there are too many fun projects) to stress over knitting.

I didn't see your OP until now, but it may be the edges could be scalloping if the carried yarns are pulled too tight. You can try blocking out what you have now (put the sts on scrap yarn) to see if that helps.
