FO - blankie & socks
I'm going to be an aunt in a few weeks. I usually crochet baby blankets simply because they work up faster, but thought I should try a basic corner-to-corner blanket in garter stitch at least once. Just for fun, I added the bear in one corner, thanks to a chart found here: http://www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/babyafbear.htm

I also wanted to make booties, but wanted as little seaming as possible. The KITR 'bootee' pattern I found didn't have a picture, so I ended up with socks instead. Still cute when they're so tiny! And now I can say I've turned a heel.

I only used blue yarn since the ultrasound technician told them "It's a BOY!" His name is currently being debated.

My SIL is a non-knitter, she referred to them as booties.
