Bamboo Socks.....Do They Wear Well?
I want to make DH some bamboo socks. I'm making some for a friend now who is allergic and it seems such a cool fabric. I've not found any sock yarn that doesn't contain SOME wool and we live in the South, so I'm still searching, JIC anyone can recommend
Anyway, how will the bamboo wear as socks? Does anyone know???????????

I don't know if they wear as well as wool, but there are some good options to look at, all true sock weight yarns:
Panda Soy
Panda Cotton
Mary Maxim Bamboo Stripes
On Your Toes Bamboo

The bamboo socks that I made in On Your Toes Bamboo from S.R. Kertzer have worn well. I made them for my boyfriend's sister who is allergic to wool and she says they're her favourite socks. I have also recently seen them and they seem to be holding up well- and she is not the most careful person- so I think that's a good sign.
Here's some pictures of them:

It would be great if there were a web site where you could look up yarn by weight or type and see what users rated them.
