I'm so sorry for your loss! It's hard to lose a furry family member. I have two kitties (sisters) that are fighting that very same fight. Cinnamon was diagnosed over a year ago with crf, and her sister Jasmine was diagnosed about 6 months ago. When their time comes I know that they'll both be ok, their big brother is already at Rainbow Bridge waiting for them. He died several years ago to pancreatic cancer.

Oh Hon, I am so sorry for you. Know that your boy is no longer suffering, but waiting at the Rainbow Bridge with many other cats and dogs. Hugs to you!

For those of you who don't know, this is the Rainbow Bridge we are talking about:

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry. It's so hard to loose a dear pet.

I still miss my cats that I lost a year and a half ago and three and a half years ago respectively. We have had a "new set" of cats for a year now but it's not quite the same as the old set.

I hadn't heard of the Rainbow Bridge. I always have said my cats go to the Heavy Side Layer where the chosen Jellical cat goes in the Musical Cats.

"Up, up, up, past the Russel Hotel
Up, up, up, to the Heavy side layer"
May Peace Prevail on Earth.

I'm newamy on

I am so, so sorry. I know all too well what you are feeling right now.

We know we all have to do this, it is our last gift to them, but there are no words for the hurt.

Oh goodness, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can't even read that Rainbow poem anymore because I just cry and cry and cry. I miss my boy so much still and he passed 4 years ago. It gets easier but you truly never forget. I wish you much peace and comfort in the coming days of healing. I'm so sorry.
