converting straight needle pattern to circular needles
I am in the process of side seaming a knitted sundress for my grandaughter and remembering how much I dislike sewing up seams. It is a LIon Brand pattern # 70238AD made in Cotton Ease. Cute pattern but I am thnking it would have been much easier to make in the round. I always use circualr needles anyway, but was wondering if there is a "how to guide" to help one convert a pattern written for straight needles over to knitting in the round up to the armhole shaping -- I was told if you CO the same number of stitches the flat pattern suggests your garment comes out too big. Also this pattern is A-line and calls for decreases at the beginning and end of each row periodically -- can you do that when knitting in the round or do you decrease your stitches evenly around the row? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
