FO: My First Pair of Socks

On my one-year anniversary of teaching myself to knit, I made my first pair of socks! Even though the yarn is ugly (and I think there is at least one gusset hole), I love these socks. I used several guides (and the videos on this site) to help me finish them. Now that I know I can actually knit socks, I'm going to move on to better, prettier yarn.

I am so addicted now! Ever since I decided to learn knitting, I looked admiringly and longingly at those beautiful socks other knitters seem to create with ease. I wish I had discovered knitting earlier in my life; it truly has become a hobby I am passionate for.

Congrats - they look great!

Last night I began my sixth...maybe seventh attempt at socks! This time, toe up. I'm feeling pretty good so far - hopefully I wont get a third of a way in and mess up again!

WONDERFUL! These are socks that can be worn day after day! I love the shorter cuffs!
