FO: Knitted case for my yo-yo (My first project without using a pattern!)
About 2 weeks ago I bought a Dark Magic yoyo.

As I yoyo all the time (when I'm not knitting of course) and the pockets on most womans pants don't seem to hold anything bigger then a credit card, I'd figure I'd knit something to hold this $50 yoyo:

(Please forgive the low quality of the photos)

I'd would love to hear what you think about it!

By the way, if you're wondering why in the world I would spend $50 on a yoyo, lets just say they have come a long way from walk the dog:

For the record neither of these men are me, (I'm a girl) nor am I that good.

But I will be.

(Excuse me if that last part was off topic)

Edit: How do I get rid of the attachments?

Thanks!

A friend of mine thinks I should start selling them, but since most yoyoers (spelling?) are guys, I'm not sure they would sell...

If you want to find out more about the kind of yoyoing you saw in the videos above, you can go here:http://yoyoexpert.com/

Good job! I would never have thought of making a case for a yo-yo!

Wow...you can knit a case to hold just about anthing...

Fun Idea! The guys might like it if you made it with a short cord they could put on their belt loop or something...or without a cord just so they could protect their favorite "toy"

Great idea...how'd you do the "cord"? Did you sew it on?

Yes, it's sewn on in the inside of the case.

I also just left the extra strands of yarn instead of weaving them in. I think they act as a pretty nice cushion for the yoyo.

Thank you everyone for your positive feedback!

It's actulaly not very little at all.

It's about 2" all the way around

and heavy...

The odd thing is that when you're playing it, it's light as air.
