Just learning to knit and....
I think I have figured out how to cast on but I don't know where to go from there...
I used the video for the long tail cast on and picked it up pretty quickly, I just can't get the next row figured out. Is there a video that shows where to go from there?

Yes, on the Tips page, there's a video Demo of a small project which shows casting on, knitting a few rows (in stockinette) and binding/casting off. That should get you going, along with the videos for the knit and purl stitches.

Welcome Neewbie,

Fellow new knitter here, just finishing my 1st project (the scarf just doesnt count)

Have a look at the video here for Knit stich and practise a few rows - this is called making Garter stich.

When you are feeling happy with that, look at the video for purl stich.

When you do 1 row of knit stich and the next of purl stich (then knit, then purl ...) you are creating Stockinette stich (here in Europe we just call it Stocking stich).

If you want to a second view of how to do the stiches, I can recommend CyberSeams on YouTube - just do a search for 'How to Knit'

Have fun, Irishmam
