Is is possible to translate a crochet pattern into a knit pattern?
I've found several projects that I'd love to make but they're for crocheting instead of knitting. I don't crochet. Wondering if they can be translated into knitted patterns?
Not stitch for stitch, but if you have the schematic of the crochet pattern you can knit the same shape. Unless it's a shawl or something with lace stitches, then that'll get tricky.
I'm just trying to duplicate the shape/size, not necessarily the stitch. For example, I found some super cool "loafer" style slippers and want to replicate the shape of the slipper but don't care what stitch it used. How would I go about figuring out the schmatics of it?
Also, if we can see the crochet pattern you want to duplicate, someone may know of a knit pattern that already exists that will give you the same "look."

The sweater pattern is easy - there's a drawing with measurements and it's basically square, with notches for the armhole. So you would knit pieces the same size and BO about an inch or 2 at the underarm on both the fronts and back. Then sew the pieces together.
