Hey guys! I'm pretty new to the forum & knitting as well. Last week I worked on some practice pieces learning how to do knit stitches & purl stitches. I came across some patterns for dishcloths (3 patterns total). This is the first one and also my first EVER completed item! I'm so excited!
Yay- great job! You've only been knitting a week! Great progress!
My little sister lives near Tyler TX & is always looking for people to knit with- she is the dishcloth queen! (made us all sets for Christmas- love them!)

That's awesome! I live N of Tyler & work S of Tyler so I'm pretty much all over this place! HAHA! I'm hoping to get good at these. Each pattern is a little more complex. I plan on giving them as gifts too.
That's a really pretty dishcloth! If you have to wash dishes, might as well have a pretty dishcloth to do them with, eh? LOL I learned how to knit on dishcloths. They're the perfect learn-to-knit item, in my opinion. Small enough you don't get bored, quick enough to get fast satisfaction in finishing a project, perfect for testing out new stitches/patterns... and if you mess it up or it doesn't look perfect in the end, it's still completely useable!
