Pattern question for Great American Aran Afghan
Hi everyone!

I recently came upon a website for the Great American Aran Afghan, and I immediately fell in love with the Ginger Smith square. I tried looking for the book in several bookstores but didn't have any luck in finding it. I hope this is not inappropriate to ask, but would anyone who has the pattern for the Ginger Smith square mind sharing it with me? Or if not, maybe someone could help me figure out the central diamond cable pattern? I hope I'm not stepping over any boundaries here! I would really appreciate any help anyone could give me.

There's a very similar pattern in the Vogue Stitchionary 2, Cables, on page 45 called Interlocking Diamonds pattern #53). If you have a library close by, they may have this book. It looks like a combination of 3 stitch and 4 stitch cables.

You can't have someone copy a pattern for you and send it, that's against copyright laws, however if you can get this book through your library, you may make a copy of it for your own use.

Try looking for the other pattern Sknitter mentioned, you may be able to get one or both books at the library.

eta - you can make a copy of one or two patterns, not the whole book.

I think they have used ones on Amazon.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.
