Baby Booties

Hi I am new to this and new to knitting. I'm making baby booties. The pattern says: Row 1: K27, K2 tog, leave remaining 19 sts unworked, turn. Row 2: K7, K2 2 tog, leave remaining sts unworked, turn.
I'm confused and don't know what to do! Please HELP!

You will only be working some of the sts, not whole rows every time for part of your bootie. This is done for shaping purposes.

When it says to turn, just switch the needles in your hands and start working back in the other direction.
