This is the 2nd pair of socks for my uncle in NY; but this time he wanted reinforced yellow toes and heels. Well, I didn't get it right. It was fine until I washed them; now I have red socks with salmon/gold.
What a learning experience; I made these smaller (as I had made the first pair much too big; but he didn't tell me until he had worn them out---I mean
big holes in them

), I researched contrasting toes and heels and on how to reinforce, and
thought I could get away with using multiple Color Catcher sheets. Oh yeah.
So I've sent an email to the yarn company for advice for the future, and to inquiry if another of their yarns will do. I'll also begin at square one looking for another yarn.
This pair will just hang around until I get it right.

They look ok and I'm
really happy with the reinforcing as I was able to make it very smooth (did just the bottom of the toes and heels). BUT they are not what was requested.
