Mental blank - Help!

HI Knitters! I am knitting a Lucinda Guy hat for my little girl & am completely stuck on the instructions for the decorative edge. The instruction is:

K1, *yon, K5, lift 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th sts over the first st, rep from * . . .

The underlined part is a complete mystery to me! How on earth do you do this? Is it like some kind of reverse cast off? Is it done one stitch at a time as you knit them, or once you have done the K5?

So lost! Would appreciate any help you might be kind enough to provide.

Ah ha! I worked it out. When it says first st, it obviously means the one closest to the end of the RH needle! (smacks self on forehead)! This is what you get for putting the needles down for nearly a year! Note to self: don't ever quit knitting! LOL.
