Knitting with beads
Hi there,
I am knitting purses for Relay For Life. They are lavendar with a 'cancer ribbon' knit into the pattern. To make the pattern 'pop' a bit, I'd like to add beads. However, the stitch I want to add the beads to is the purl stitch. I can only find tutorials for adding the stitch to the knit side, not the purl side. I think I'd like to add the bead with a crochet hook, but if stringing them would be better for some reason, I don't mind doing that either.
Can anyone help?

Thanks so much!

Put the yarn through the bead so it's a loop and put it on your needle then start to purl normally.

If you are still stuck I'll put a picture up to show you how it's done or go to wamen's weekly mag site and click for the issue number in and it should tell you in there.

I like to do that with cardies.
