Creating you own patterns
If I can't find what I'm looking for. I create my own patterns I make notes as I go along so I won't forget what I had done.

Dose any other expereince knitters out there do them?

This is just out of interest.

Yup! Almost always invent my own. (especially for sweaters! don't have enough experience with socks yet to create my own - but am determined to get there eventually.) My reasoning is this - knitting is my art form. No artist ever became famous in his/her own right be copying a famous artist's work. That's a forgery, not a work of art. True artists are originators. Why recreate another artist's work?
