FO-Two color cushion

I finally finished my two color entrelac cushion. The pattern was from How to Knit by Debbi Bliss: Project 14. Started it June 28 and finally finished it July 10-date of the wedding for whom this was a gift for. I used Bernat Softee Chunky in black and Caron Simply Soft in Soft Blue. Never again will I keep such a short deadline. To see pictures you can either go Here or here. Very nice!! I hear ya on the short notice thing - I had a baby shower yesterday and was not able to complete the afgan I am knitting in time :( I did do up 3 washcloths (of course, I didn't have my camera handy, so no FO to post of them) and made a "bath basket" with some other items. C'est la vie!

Yeah, I'm starting my mom's birthday present now, her birthday's in September. I should have enough time to finish as long as it's not a blanket with intricate designs. Maybe a pair of socks...haven't tried socks yet.

lovely pillow...I've never tried entrelac it looks "difficult" so kudos to you for getting it done and with a deadline

I thought it'd be difficult too, but once I got into the rhythm it was easy. A lot of p2tog, pick up sts, and m1 that can be time consuming...and switching colors. You cold do it with one color or more than 2 I suppose, with some modification to the directions. Give it a try, you may find it easier than it looks.
