Knitting Phentex Slippers
Hi: I've been knitting for 44 years and can't get going on this darn
phentex slipper pattern. It says to twist the wool, but the lady I'm knitting these slippers for just wants them in one colour. I've been working in groups of six using two strands of the same colour wool, but can't figure it out. Guess I'm getting tired because I've done it over several times and can't get it to look like the picture.
Do you have to twist the two strands each stitch or just every six stitches. Either way it doesn't look right to me. Seems like the twisted part is on the inside of the slipper, but how do you do that with garter stitch?

Hope one of you can help me because I'm about to give up.

What do you mean 'twist' the yarn? Do you mean carrying other colors along the back? If you're doing it in one color you don't need to do that.
