I know it's Finnish, but unfortunately, beyond that I'm not much help! So now all you need to do is find out how to translate it.

There's a group on Ravelry called Excuse Me, which helps with pattern translations for different languages. You could probably get some help there.

Finnish is one of the two non Indo-European languages in Europe, the other is Hungarian (though the two are related distantly to each other). Therefore although Finland is Nordic, it's not Scandinavian so your Norwegian friend might know how to get it translated, but unless she's learnt Finnish, she probably wont be able to read it herself.

Thanks....I am sure if she can't, with the mix of people in the area she lives, she'll know who can. She placed me with a lady that translated German for me once before.

Another one that isn't related is Basque. I thought Hungarian was a Balto-slavic offshoot though.

I didn't know about Basque. I'm not a linguist though, so I just know what I was taught by my archaeology lecturers. I looked up Hungarian (Magyar) and I found this in Wikipedia though my eyes glazed over when it started getting technical

I grew up in S Idaho which has the largest population of Basques outside of their homelands in France and Spain and I can even pronounce a lot of their surnames. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basque_language - it's the last pre-IndoEuropean language. They exported a lot of sheepherders to Idaho and Nevada over the years.
