Linen yarn?
Do any of the popular commercial brands made linen yarn or maybe a linen/cotton blend? I've seen linen at my LYS, but I'm wondering if there's a more economical option available at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Jo Anns, etc.?

Not that I know of. I did a quick search and came up empty handed.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

They carry organic cotton, but no linen. Knitpicks Cotlin, a cotton/linen blend is fairly inexpensive.

Yarnmarket does a reference site at -- you can put in the info on a yarn you're looking for and it will return all the yarns in its index. Rav also offers a search under the Yarn tab.

OTN: Eyelet Chemise in Handmaiden Sea Silk (colorway: Midnight). Still. And a purple Donegal Tweed set of fingerless mitts, to try out my new Hiya Hiya interchangeable needles.

Latest FO: A shrug for an Anthropologie swap in beautiful Casbah sock yarn, in Cedar, a dark green semi-solid, my own pattern. Also a quick Noro Silk Garden neckwarmer for my friend Aideen, in a vine lace pattern.
