Berroco's free sweater coat pattern "Carla"
I do not knit (I do Crochet) but I have a friend who is knitting Berroco's free sweater coat pattern, "Carla." She is more than halfway through and is stumped at this point under Left Front: "Continue on remaining 13 sts for collar facing for 3". Place sts on a holder."

She cannot figure out what to do with the stitches that have been placed on the holder when it comes time to Finish the coat. Berroco will not support this pattern any more.

Can someone please help?

The link to the pattern is: http://www.berroco.com/178/178_carla.html

I would hate to see her have to give up on this project after all of her work.

Thanks.

Under Finishing, it says:
"Sew bound-off edges of collar facings tog." There are no bind off stitich instructions given for them, I think putting them on holders is a typo. So have her bindoff the sts so she can finish according to the above instructions.

or since she's got 2 sides on stitch holders that need to be attached, she could kitchner them togehter or 3-needle bind off. I would probably 3-needle bind off.

That could be, maybe they changed part of the instructions and not all of them.
