How do I make a M1P? am increasing 1 stitch each side,1 side I knit in the front and back , then on the purl side...M1P..Is there another increase I can use? Also I seem to be getting a hole where the increase is..any suggestions?

The m1p is the same as the m1 shown on the increases page, except you purl into it. Lift the yarn between sts, purl into it so there's a twist and that should eliminate the hole. A couple rows after the inc it shouldn't be so noticeable, even if it looks like a small hole exists when you make it.
