While watching the VT v Bama game this evening I have been surfing the coupon sites you listed...I decided to print a few off the Smart Source website and was disappointed to see that they all say DO NOT DOUBLE/TRIPLE on them. As I clicked to print them I was pretty much counting on my store doubling or tripling them as they do with other coupons....guess we'll see what happens when I go shopping tomorrow.

I would just like to find ONE store that doubled coupons in this area. Never have seen it.

My son and I rooted hard for VA Tech. As Auburn fans, we like to see Alabama lose. Sorry the game didn't turn out your way.

It's wonderful that you can save so much money with the coupons and sale shopping.
I'm in the same boat with some of the others on this site. I don't use many boxed foods and when I used to get the local 't paper I couldn't even find enough coupons to cover the cost of the paper.
I do raise my own veggies and some fruit and plan on planting some more fruit trees next spring as I shrink my vegetable garden.
I have been baking my own bread for about 30 years
Living frugally has been a way of life for hubby and I most of our married life. Work has never been very steady around here and he has only worked steady with no layoffs for about 4 years.
It can be a very fulfilling feeling to go to the cupboard or freezer and know that you can whip up meals for a long time without going to the store.
Auburnchick, I applaud your drive to feed your family well as inexpensively as possible.

And I applaud you for growing your own food and making your own bread. I don't have much space to do the gardening thing. For now, this is working for me.
Oh, and I thought I'd tell you that last week, I saved over $100 during one grocery trip (I only spent $42.96).
Here's what I bought...
I blogged about how I did it here.

I forgot to come back here and post that my store took the printed out coupons and doubled them !! I was quite excited. As with any coupons, there were many for things that I won't use, but anything is better than nothing.

You know...I still get a little nervous when I use the internet coupons. You never know if someone will think they are fakes. In fact, I've read of people having a hard time getting Walmart to take them because they can be difficult to scan!
I am SO glad you were able to get some things though! Are you going to donate them? That's what I've been doing with the stuff I know my family can't or won't use. If you're getting things almost free, why not?!

Hi you guys!
I thought I would share a few more sites for great sale information...
Attention Target Shoppers - Totally dedicated to Target sales. I saved mucho bucks using this site last week!!
Never Pay Retail Again - A neat site I just found...loaded with lots of "how-to" information.
Stretching a Buck - Another neat little site.

The things I used the coupons for are actually things we will use. I do however use most dog/cat treat coupons and donate those to the SPCA and when I find great coupons for canned foods/soups that our food pantry needs I donate those as well.
The day I used the internet coupons I had many other coupons and saved like $23 and the checker (who looked 12) told me "WOW, you're good at this. At times of economic downturn you're really making your money stretch."
